How studio works?

I have dealt with budgets from £5,000 to £180,000 in domestic environments and have learnt the value to trust an experienced team in a design process offering:

  • Planning expectations in cost and a plethora of material options with samples being delivered to your home.
  • Having a detail orientated approach however simple the layout maybe its the finish that's important in style and material.
  • Giving experts the time to listen to your expectations through visual mood-boarding and preferences
  • Having an creative input into revisions for the final outcome.
  • Being able to visualise layout, scale, and overall function
  • Seeing a material pallet that works well through sample services and recommendations
  • Get the experience of experts to create something special
  • Preventing live change orders on site or disputes in expectation by designs revealing how it all connects together in reality rather than pointing and assuming from discussion.
  • Creating a specification for a number of different landscapers to bid on the project

For larger budgets it is highly recommended.

How the design process works

We will log you into the system and take an initial brief, then ask you to send over some photos of the space with approximate measurements.

The first stage is a free consultation 30 minute consultation over Zoom to discuss your ideas or on site if required and provide examples of what we think could work in the space.

We then ask you to send us rough site measurements and photos so we can create a concept drawing and provide you an illustrative quote which will include a bill of quantities with images for reference.

We will then provide you with a design proposal, fees and recommendations of which services would be suitable for you and how they will help along with an estimate of the project at the points of discussions if possible - we try and manage cost expectations early through this process to make the project suitable for your budget.

Next an additional site visit is booked in to have a more detailed discussion and survey of the site.

From a detailed brief, we create of a base plan, and 3D Model so you can see your vision in a whole new way is created. This level of attention to your project is a unique opportunity to consider different materials, different creative approaches, and to really get to know what you want so we can deliver exactly that.

During this process we will send across material samples, and stay in contact with our ideas to collaborate feedback efficiently.

Then a set of concept boards will be sent to you for a feedback session which include birds eye view concept drawing with different perspectives, a concept mood-board, a quote, and a detailed breakdown of costs in the form of a bill of quantities and proposed terms.

The specification that we create from the concept drawing and 3D Modeling can also be put out to tender to other contractors, and we provide a template for this to be sent around to your preferred list of build teams.

  • I also offer management consultancy to manage projects that are not built by my team at an hourly rate which includes sourcing through interview a good contractor, managing the bidding process for you, terms negotiation and monitoring and reporting performance along with removing any room for conflict and resolving any issues that may arise.
